Lower your handicap

Every avid golfer is constantly on the look out for ways to improve their score and lower their handicap. One of the best ways to drastically improve your score and lower your handicap is to improve your short game.

When most people go to practice golf, they immediately head to the driving range to work on their woods and irons. While these may be the most fun to practice, this is not the best use of time. Short game shots such as putting and chipping often account for over half of someones shots during a round of golf. Because of the frequency of these shots, it makes more sense to practice the shots over longer shots.

By purchasing a putting mat and set of plastic hold balls, you could even practice these shots at home.
