You very seldom find anyone making jokes or laughing while other players are in the area. The best tip I can offer you, and it is a very easy tip to follow, is to always act like a professional while you are on the golf course. Take your shot and move on. Do not laugh or make fun of anyone. Your laughter may interfere with their swing and cause them to hit a poor shot.

If you take the game seriously and do your best, then when the game is over will be time enough to celebrate and have a good time with your friends. If you take it seriously, you will play better and enjoy the game much more yourself.

The sport of golf seems to be more burdened with tips than a good waiter on a Friday night! However, there will always be a golf tip that speaks especially clearly to you. When you find that particular golf tip, grab it and don’t let go! For me, my special golf tip addresses my head. Not the way I position it, but rather what I’m thinking while playing the game. I go over several quick body checks before each stroke, and then after each stroke, praise myself for what I did well. That’s how I keep the game of golf fun and exciting. The main points to remember in golf training are:

- Keep your head down until you’ve completed a follow through
- Keep your knees bent
- Make a direct line to the pin/green with your feet
- Swivel the hips, don’t sway them

Golf requires a lifetime of paying attention. Everything must be in alignment: head down, shoulders squared, knees bent, club placement, feet apart at the right distance, back swing measured easy, so as not to through you off balance, strong follow through, hands turning over, etc. These are the golf training basics.

The great thing about golf and the golf book industry is that there are quite a few authors who have chosen to write about the sport. These people are great at what they do, and they make it so that a golf book review of the world’s best would be almost impossible.

The truth is that I love all of these books. From the ones about courses to the books about my favorites players. Whether it is reading something by Tiger Woods or reading a fictional book about a match played with good, I am a sucker for a great golf book. With that in mind, a golf book review of the one book that stands on top is something that I just can’t provide, because it wouldn’t do the rest of the books justice.
